The story behind these stories...
For Kids, By Kids began in 2013 as a personal project for a professional development cohort. The thought was that it might be nice to start an e-resource library for students so they could have pieces to read, even if they couldn't get to the library.
The first semester of the project published over 30 student pieces and we haven't looked back since! From first grade to sixth grade, For Kids, By Kids, has published pieces of all genres, topics, and levels. The "upgrade" of Hillel's 2016 Fourth Grade Publishing Party from paper to keyboard has provided the latest wave of published authors, with many more to come!
As you read, please keep in mind that each of these pieces was written and edited by K-6 students, so there may be some errors and mixups in the writing. The kids would love feedback, so please feel free to leave us a note!
